The very first relationship was between Ashlee Wiblin and Mortgage Express Blenheim Adviser Peter Lewis. Ashlee initially met Peter on her own home-ownership journey in 2018, and walked away from their first meeting with the beginnings of the next step in her career, alongside a friendship like no other, and with no home loan.
Ashlee worked alongside Peter, soaking up everything she could from him to help set her own mortgage advisory career into motion as the Blenheim dream-team. Together, they continued to expand the business, helping hundreds of people on their real estate journey, achieve their goals.
In 2021, Ashlee’s mentor and good friend Peter underwent major heart surgery, making the decision to step back and giving her the opportunity to take over his business. Knowing she had huge shoes to fill, Ashlee took the opportunity to merge the two businesses to make one mortgage advisory experience.
Along with the purchase of Peter’s business came big changes including two rebrands; first to Ashlee and Peter and now the Home Loan Collective.

Ashlee Wiblin, Mortgage Adviser/Director
Ashlee has built her business on solid relationships and her numerous awards for client experience and high achievements just go to show the passion she has for the work she does.
Ashlee works around the clock to help you achieve the major property ownership goals you set. She is there from the very start of the process till the day you settle (and even after that!), guiding you through exactly what is needed from lenders and answering all the questions you may have.
When Ashlee isn’t helping clients on their homeownership journey, she enjoys transforming houses with renos, spending time with friends/family and soaking up the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. Let’s not forget about her furry kids, English Cocker-Spaniels Stanley & Margot and cat Liz, who keep her busy and she adores endlessly.
Peter Lewis, Mortgage Adviser/Director
Peter is a highly experienced Financial Adviser with over 25 years in the financial services industry. As a well-recognised Mortgage Adviser Peter has spent many years helping clients across New Zealand, assisting first home buyers, investors and people upgrading or downsizing their homes.
Peter is passionate about improving clients’ financial positions, and takes a broad approach to aligning goals with the right solutions.

Peter enjoys the outdoors, tramping and mountain biking. He also values his time with friends and family.
Bronwyn Barnes, Mortgage Adviser
Bronwyn Barnes is a dedicated mortgage adviser, committed to helping clients across New Zealand achieve their property ownership goals.
With over three years of experience in the lending industry, she specialises in simplifying the home loan process, offering tailored solutions that meet each client's unique needs. Whether you're a first-time home buyer, looking to upgrade, or interested in property investment, Bronwyn is committed to guiding you through the home loan process and building lasting relationships with her clients.
Previously working as a head beauty therapist, Bronwyn developed a passion for empowering others and promoting well-being—a focus she now brings to her role by helping clients achieve financial wellness.
Actively involved in her community, Bronwyn mentors young women through a youth program and facilitates a women-in-business group, where she supports personal and professional growth.
In her spare time, Bronwyn enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring the beautiful hikes Marlborough has to offer.
Leigh Bradley, Loan Writer/Mortgage Adviser
With over 10 years of banking experience, Leigh joined Ashlee and her team at the start of 2023. Leigh has always had a passion for helping people and having owned a few properties herself, she knows exactly how overwhelming the process can feel. Leigh is excited to be able to help even more people achieve their property ownership goals.
Leigh’s work involves ensuring we have the correct documentation from you to verify the evidence that supports your application. She also produces the application diary notes, telling your financial situation and what you want to achieve. Leigh is a wiz on the servicing calculators and has a good knowledge of each lenders’ policy.
In addition to her loan writing work, Leigh is an accredited Mortgage Adviser and assists clients with their upcoming fixed rate renewals and steps in for Ashlee when she is away.
Leigh has been lucky to call sunny Marlborough home for the last 6 years after relocating with her husband, 2 daughters, and Finn the dog, from the mighty Manawatu.
Eve Goodall-Cromarty, Relationship/Marketing Manager + Loan Writer
Having recently navigated the tricky process of purchasing a first home herself, Eve knows how important it is to have good people on your side when applying for a home loan.
Eve has been Ashlee’s right hand and Relationship + Marketing Manager for over two years, ensuring clients have the support they need and experience a seamless process with The Home Loan Collective.
She has also completed her New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).
Behind the scenes, utilising her marketing background, Eve manages the marketing side of the business, contributing to The Home Loan Collective’s strong and fresh brand presence.
Outside of The Home Loan Collective, Eve enjoys travelling with her partner and getting out on the water. She is also kept busy with their active German Shepherd, Riwa.
Chelsea Stevenson, Relationship Manager
With over a decade of work experience dedicated to building meaningful relationships, Chelsea brings warmth and insight to her role as part of the team at The Home Loan Collective. Working towards her own home purchase and facing the realities of the current economy and property market, Chelsea understands the importance of feeling valued and supported when in the market for a home loan.
For the past three years, Chelsea has worked alongside both Peter Lewis and Ashlee Wiblin, assisting with client contact and home loan interest rate refixing.
